Michael Gordon Fulford, CBE, FBA, (born 1948 Hampshire) is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Reading,〔Contributors list in ''A Companion to Roman Britain'', ed. Malcolm Todd. He is probably best known for a series of digs conducted since 1974 at the site of the former Iron Age and Romano-British town of Silchester (Calleva Atrebatum), Hampshire.〔〔 Fulford was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2011 New Year Honours. In 2013, a supplement of the Journal of Roman Archaeology was published in Fulford's honour.
